On November 22, Peter and I celebrated our 7th wedding anniversary! To celebrate, we went out to a nice 9 course meal at Kurochaya, or Black Tea House. It was amazing! The restaurant is made up of a bunch of old fashioned looking buildings, is set in the mountains along a river, and is lit by lanterns in the trees. It's a really beautiful setting.
The food was very Japanese, but specific to the area, with the fish and crabs having been caught from the river that runs next to the restaurant, the udon made at the restaurant, and the vegetables grown there as well. We had a great night, made even more enjoyable by the delicious food and ambiance.
